Never feel guilty about feeling something. It’s proof that you’re alive.
I often find myself rejecting my feelings, because to be honest sometimes I don’t want to feel them.
I don’t want to feel sadness, anger, or frustration. I’d like to just be happy. Perpetually happy.
In these moments I remind myself that we are not limited to one side of the emotional scale, and that we also have to experience the negative emotions as a part of life.
Whatever it is you’re feeling right now feel free to embrace it. Be okay with not being okay. Remember that emotions are a sign that you’re going through the constantly changing environment of life. They are normal and they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
