Wishful Thinking

They'll wish they bought your stock when the price was low.

It's funny — being in that space and thinking "they" – the friend, the family member, the boyfriend – are someone that you have to hold onto even in spite of losing yourself.

I had to learn to live without or with considerable distance from many people who I thought I would never be able to go on without.

Not to mention that during this crazy time my brain was not fully developed. Your prefrontal cortex does not fully develop until the age of 25, meaning that your ability to make sound decisions and see past today is limited as an adolescent. (so stop beating up on kids who are going through depression!!!) Even as an adult, those habits die hard. You CAN move on and leave people behind once you realize they aren't treating you the way to deserve.

They'll be wishing they treated you better before you realized how much you are worth. Because once you find that out, you'll realize they never stood a chance!
